After you have logged into Select, click on Profile / Company Profile at the top. Then search and click on Financial details on the left of the screen. Enter the bank details in the fields IBAN, BIC and VAT ID / VAT number. The VAT number is only approved if the legal form and business details are correct. Check that you have selected the correct legal form under Your Details in your Select (Company) Profile. PLEASE NOTE: enter it manually ,use capital letters and no spaces in between. Always enter a valid IBAN, BIC and VAT ID / VAT number.
IBAN
An IBAN (International Bank Account Number) number consists of a series of letters and figures. This identifies each account holder, including bank and country of residence. An IBAN thus contains:
- Country code; consisting of 2 letters (NL, BE, DE etc)
- 2 control digits
- Bank code (RABO, ABNA, INGB etc.)
- Account number
Example IBAN number: NL75 ABNA 1234 1234 00
BIC
The BIC (Bank Identifier Code) number is a sequence of letters and numbers used in international payment transfers to ensure that it reaches the right bank.
Examples of BIC numbers: INGBNL2, RABONL2U, ABNANL2A etc.
VAT ID / VAT number
VAT-ID / VAT-number is a unique number for sole traders. You use this number for all contacts with customers and suppliers, such as invoices. The Dutch VAT-ID / VAT-number exists:
- The country code NL
- 9 (random) digits
- Letter 'B
- A control number of 2 digits
Example VAT ID / VAT number: NL 123456789B01
NOTE: Make sure you have chosen the right legal form, e.g. sole trader or private limited company (B.V.).
